Faith Sharing

If you've ever had a "religious experience" (or wondered whether you have or not!) where would you go to talk about it?    Sadly, some people feel the church is the last place in the world!  Yet, for about two years, a group ranging from 4 to 14 has gathered almost every month at Church of the Holy Spirit, or at members' homes, to share a light "pot luck" lunch and "tell our stories" of faith, or doubt, or fear, all of which are aspects of personal spirituality and religion. 

The next gathering will be on Saturday, February 11th, at the church from Noon - 2pm. We plan to discuss similarities in the teachings of Jesus Christ, the Buddha and the prophet Muhammed.

Please come as our guests; no need to bring anything for the pot-luck lunch.

January's Faith Sharing

The Monthly Faith Sharing Meeting was enjoyed by nine people on Saturday,  January 14th. The theme was "intent and compassion."  We had a home made lunch of shrimp, chicken soup, bratwurst & sauerkraut and beef stew, a green salad and a fruit bread for dessert. Compliments abounded. The discussion included acting on our intents, how compassion is shown and at the end, our various takes on life everlasting.
